TTT #78 & 79: Love Through Late Night Time Life 70's Soft Rock Commercials
I had to double up this week because last week I just didn't have the chance to knock a blog out. I almost didn't do one today because I felt like garbage. I have had a massive headache all day. I laid in bed for most of the day, just being pathetic. My lady came home and let me sleep. She's cool that way.
When I woke up and sat at my comp, that is right next to the kitchen btw, she got up and made me some water. So I decided to make a playlist expressing my love for this cute little lady.
Last night, we were sitting in bed and she insisted on watching all of Time Life's The Best of Soft Rock infomercial. So she could get lulled to sleep to the sounds of the seventies. She just really sat there singing along with every song. So I decided to make her a playlist.
Enjoy Bebe.

I'll Give You Crazy
Crazy Love - Van Morrison
This is just a nice mellow song. I think I really need to start listening to more Van Morrison. I don't think I have heard a single VM song that I didn't like.
You should check out Into The Mystic if you don't already know it. Definitely need to start listening to more Van Morrison.
Soo-prise
Kiss You All Over - Exile
I have never been a big fan of music from the 70's for the most part. I like some of it, but most of it just passed me by. I do miss the days when musicianship and talent were way more important than the physical appearance of the people playing the music.
I hope one day we can go back to that. So we have more super talent and less beautiful with mediocre talent.
Too True...
Still The One - Orleans
This song hits a little too close to home. We do talk in bed a lot. Usually about how five $29.95 payments is a good price for a Time Life set. Then I say that's kind of crazy and am promptly informed that they are easy payments.
I stand corrected.
Mr. Blue Sky
Livin' Thing - Electric Light Orchestra
Another band I feel not near enough members of the current generation listen to. The string break in this song is the absolute best. Truly.
She's Kind of Mental
Summer Breeze - Seals & Croft
My girlfriend literally does this every time she hears this song. Every. Time.
Lerv!
Right Down The Line - Gerry Rafferty
I have talked on this before...Deja Vu.
Happy...
The Air That I Breathe - The Hollies
Are these guys even 70's? They look to be channeling some hardcore 60's Brit Invasion vibes.
Whatevs. Soooommmmeeetiiiiimes....
What's Wrong With Air Supply?
Lost In Love - Air Supply
I think this blog is getting kind of long. I bet Erin is the only one that will even attempt to go this far.
It being about her and all. She's nosy that way...
Nosy in a loving way, shit...
Disney?
The Search Is Over - Survivor
Every time I hear the beginning of this song I think it is from a Disney cartoon from the mid 90's. I wonder if it is...
I'm not gonna Google it. I'm lazy. You do it, get back to me with the answer...
BabyImmaWantYou
Baby I'm A Want You - Bread
Some of the picture file names got messed up when I saved them. I am not 100% sure this is even Bread. I am gonna go with it because they named their band name Bread.
Just...Bread. Bread. !?!
ThisMyJam
Waiting For A Girl Like You - Foreigner
You can pretend you don't love this song. You can try and be macho, manly, metal or whatever. But when that chorus comes, I have yet to see anyone resist.
Give in. You know you want to...
Wildflower?
Wildfire - Michael Martin Murphy
This will always remind me of Bubble Boy & Danny Trejos.
For Dave also...
You're The Inspiration - Chicago
This is probably actually Bread. I feel like Chicago was a bigger band. At this point I really don't have the patience to check and correct it. I mean Bread? Chicago? Why not just name your band Province? How about Duchy? Stick?
*shakes head* The 70's...
I Know It's From The 80's
I Want To Know What Love Is - Foreigner
I think I need to see Foreigner live. We are going to a ton of live shows this year. She is even planning on going to see Justin Timberlake twice.
Twice. This is gonna be a musical year.
That's it for this one folks. I lerv ya Bebe. I hope you like your Soft Rock playlist. Until we meet in the infomercials...
KKNY signing off...
